Coach McPhillips

Hello!  My name is Joseph McPhillips. I am so honored to begin my 17th year teaching Physical Education at Cullman City Schools. I feel I have the best job in the world because I get to interact with young students and teach them real world skills through sports.  The life lessons that I have gone through are what motivates me to educate all my students to prepare them for lifelong success.  I received my bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Master’s degree in Educational Leadership all from The University of Alabama.  I am also a Football Coach in the Cullman City School System and cherish the memories and relationships made throughout my time coaching student-athletes.

I am married to my best friend, Tracie McPhillips, who is also a PE Teacher at Cullman Middle School.  We live here in Cullman and have two beautiful kids, Ryleigh (12) and Dyson (9).  In my spare time, I love being with my family and friends, going to the beach, playing golf and watching any and all sports, but especially Alabama Football.  Roll Tide!
