Meet Mrs. Cates...
Welcome to 3rd grade! I am very excited about getting to know you and your child this year. I am starting my 27th year in education. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood as will as Elementary, a Master’s degree in Elementary. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades as well as being an ARI Reading Specialist.
I have been married to my husband, Randy, for 37 years. We have two daughters, Monica(35 yrs old)and Sarah (33yrs old). I am very excited and blessed to be a 3rd grade teacher at East Elementary. I attended East Elementary. So teaching here is like coming home. I will work hard with you and your child to establish a family environment so that we build high expectations of achievement and confidence in their academic journey. This will be a great year for all of us.
