I am so excited about another terrific school year! This will be my 17th year teaching. I have taught preK, kindergarten, first grade, second grade, third grade, fourth grade, fifth grade and I work with high school bands. This is my fourth year at East Elementary school and my third year teaching third grade! I cannot wait to begin learning and making memories with this year's class!

I am a graduate of Cullman High School. I received an Associates Degree from Wallace State and a Bachelors Degree from Athens State. I have continued discovering new tools to use in the classroom and am AMSTI science trained in 2nd-5th grade, as well as, LETRs trained.  You will find me tending to the outdoor classroom and garden in my spare time. I love learning new things and I hope to instill that same spark for learning in my students. 

I am married to Christopher Smith and we have two children together, Madison and Grayson. Madison is a sophmore at the  University of Montevallo and Grayson will be a freshman  at Cullman High School. We love exploring new places and making music together.
